Thulani Mciwa

Thulani is a legal expert who holds a BProc Law degree from Vista University (1998) and an LL.B from the University of the Witwatersrand (2000). He began his career in law as a candidate attorney, qualified as an attorney in 2003, and subsequently earned an Advanced Diploma in Labour Law. Thulani developed and led the Labour Law department at Lindsay, Keller & Partners before joining major oil companies, including Engen, BP, and Total, where he served as a legal advisor and Property Investment Manager. He is also the director of Mciwa Legal Consultancy Services (MLCS), which offers petroleum and property development advisory services. Thulani’s expertise spans Petroleum, Commercial, Labour, Mine and Occupational Health & Safety Law, and Commercial Litigation, with extensive experience in contract negotiation and dispute resolution. He has represented notable companies in diverse legal matters and has led strategic initiatives in site optimisation across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
